LOCKNEY, TX – Last season, the Lockney Longhorns lost two early-season football games before winning five in a row and reaching a bi-district playoff game against Morton.

The Indians defeated the Longhorns to bring Lockney’s season to an end at 7-4.

Thanks to a UIL realignment, the two teams will become district foes in 2-2A Division 2 this season.

With Bovina moving to 1-2A (D2), Morton will join Lockney, Hale Center, Ralls, Sudan, and Crosbyton in 2024 and 2025.
