FLOYDADA, TX—The Floydada Fire Department responded to four calls during June, three of which involved assisting other first responders.

Fire department volunteers made two runs on June 15, 2024. The first was to assist with a landing zone for a helicopter, and the second was for a gas leak at 412 W. Grover Street.

On June 26th and 29th, calls for mutual aid were received. The first asked for help fighting a fire at the cotton warehouse east of Plainview, and the latter asked for assistance with the Flomot Fire Department’s grass fire.
