FLOYDADA, TX – County Commissioners are meeting this morning to discuss and possibly act on the salary of a new AgriLife extension agent.

In addition, the court will discuss bids for a new roof on the AgriLife building.

During their previous meeting, commissioners agreed to purchase two pieces of equipment previously designated for purchase in the next fiscal year. Judge Marty Lucke explained that the opportunity to get the new equipment earlier could be covered by a short-term note with First Texas National Bank, intending to pay the notes off after the new fiscal year begins.

Today’s meeting begins at 8:00 am at the Floyd County Courthouse.
