FLOYDADA, TX – After one year without an Emergency Management Coordinator for Floyd County, commissioners voted to appoint Mark Carroll starting October 1, 2024.
Carroll, the current Texas A&M AgriLife Extension County Agent, explained that when dealing with emergencies at the local level, the extension service is always one of the first on the ground and working in the trenches.
The position is part-time and will be funded in the FY2025 budget.
