FLOYDADA, TX – Those delinquent in paying their city utility bills will now be charged a fee for collection services.
On Tuesday night, the Floydada City Council approved a motion for a contingent fee with Perdue Brandon Fielder Collins and Mott, LLP, to collect delinquent utility accounts owed to the City of Floydada. Utility customers in default will be charged a 30 percent fee to defray the cost of collection.
The Council also approved a motion by Councilmember Gabe de la Fuente to approve a HOT Funds request from the 4th of July Committee.
