More Than $100,000 in Scholarships Awarded to Graduates

FLOYDADA, TX – Family and friends gathered Thursday evening to celebrate 42 students’ twelve-year journey as they received their diplomas from Floydada Collegiate High School.

The ceremony featured speeches from Sierra Snowden, the class valedictorian (with a perfect 4.0 GPA), and Janeisi Garza, the salutatorian of the Class of 2024.

More than $100,000 in scholarships were awarded to post-secondary students.

Four graduates (two CNAs, one phlebotomist, and one teacher’s aide) were recognized for certifications through South Plains College, and one student, Reese Hinsley, was recognized for his acceptance into the U.S. Air Force.
