Floydada Council Chambers (Alex Driggars/Floyd County Record)

***EDITOR’S NOTE: An earlier version of this story said the General Election would be canceled. The Election will NOT be canceled. Two Council seats (1 & 4) have unopposed candidates, so those races will be canceled. The other two (2 & 3) have multiple candidates and will still be on the May 4th General Election ballot. We apologize for any confusion caused by this error.

FLOYDADA, TX – Since a quorum could not be recorded during a regularly scheduled meeting at the end of March, the City Council will meet tonight for the first time since February 27th.

The two At-Large seats (District 2 & District 3) will remain on the ballot.
