LOCKNEY, TX – The Lockney Longhorns were in a district battle against the Olton Mustangs on Tuesday.
Both teams would get on the board with one run in the first inning.
The Longhorns took the lead in the bottom of the fourth inning, adding one more run to make the score 2-1.
In the top of the fifth inning, the Mustangs’ offense gave them three runs to take a 4-2 lead.
Olton’s offense continued their momentum in the sixth and seventh innings, scoring a combined fourteen points to secure the 18-4 victory over the Longhorns.
Lockney falls to 1-6 in district play and will travel to Olton on Saturday.
