FLOYDADA, TX – The Floydada Whirlwinds were in district action on Friday as they hosted the Sudan Hornets in a district matchup.
Sudan’s offense got started in the top of the first inning scoring six runs and taking a 6-0 lead.
The Hornets would continue to add to their lead in the second inning scoring three runs and six runs in the third inning to go up 15-0.
The Whirlwinds got on the board in the bottom of the fourth and fifth inning, but would fall to the Hornets 18-4.
The Whirlwinds fall to 0-6 in district play and will host Ralls in their next game.
