LOCKNEY, TX – The Lockney Longhorns were in district action on Friday night as they hosted the Hale Center Owls.
The Owls wasted no time and jumped out quickly to a 25-9 lead at the end of the first quarter.
The Longhorns fought back in the second quarter but were still trailing 48-33.
Hale Center was able to hold off the second-half comeback from Lockney to secure the 84-58 win over the Longhorns.
Lockney was led in scoring by Daniel Alvarado with 18 points.
Nathan Hernandez also contributed 14 points in the game on Friday.
The Longhorns move to 6-9 overall and 2-2 in district play.
