LOCKNEY, TX – Lockney General Hospital reported volumes and revenue down for the first month of their 2024 fiscal year.

W.J. Mangold Memorial Hospital CEO Vince DiFranco informed members of the Board during their most recent meeting of the $155,698 net loss for the month of October. The shortfall was due to below-average visits for the month.

Specifically, DiFranco shared that volumes for the Lockney Clinic totaled 858 visits, five acute admissions for 22 patient days, and 12 observation patients. The ER volume was 203 visits, and eight procedures were performed.

Earlier in the year, the community helped pay for a new CT scan machine, and according to the report, it was used for 43 scans during October as part of 3,529 lab tests and 323 radiology tests.

The next meeting for the board will be on January 3, 2024, at 12:00 pm.
