FLOYDADA, TX – The Floydada Lady Winds (13-3, 2-0) played host to the Sudan Nettes (12-5, 1-1) in a district battle on Friday night.
The Lady Winds started the game with a 18-10 lead after the first quarter.
In the second quarter, the Floydada defense held Sudan to just 5 points and were able to extend their lead 40-25 going into halftime.
It was all Floydada in the second half as well as they were able to defeat Sudan 74-65 and remain unbeaten in district.
The Lady Winds had two 20-point scorers in Soriah Wickware (27 points and 5 rebounds) and Sierra Snowden (22 points and 15 rebounds).
Junior Katelynn Ramirez also contributed to the win on Friday with 10 points.
Floydada will travel to play New Deal on Tuesday.
