LOCKNEY, TX – The Lockney Longhorns played host to the Lubbock Roosevelt Eagles in a non-district game on Tuesday night.
The Longhorns were able to jump out to a 14-13 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Roosevelt fought back in the second quarter and went into halftime with a 32-29 lead.
Both teams would score 13 points in the third quarter to go into the fourth quarter with the Eagles ahead 45-32.
Roosevelt’s defense helped secure the victory in the fourth quarter as they held the Longhorns to just 8 points for a final score of 66-50.
The Longhorns were led in scoring by Haygen Lefevre with 16 points and 4 rebounds.
Dahlen Silva contributed 10 points for the Longhorns on Tuesday night.
Lockney moves to 3-4 overall on the season and will prepare for the Lockney Tournament this weekend.
