ACUFF, TX – The Floydada Lady Winds were in action on Tuesday as they faced the Roosevelt Lady Eagles.
Floydada jumped out to a 16-8 lead after the first quarter.
The Lady Winds were able to continue to apply pressure to the Lady Eagles and went into halftime with a 26-16 lead.
Floydada would pull away in the second half and be victorious over the Lady Eagles 62-34.
The Lady Winds were led in scoring by junior Katelynn Ramirez, who had four of the teams nine three pointers in the game, and totaled 14 points.
Floydada’s junior, Soriah Wickware, had a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Senior Sierra Snowden also contributed nine points and nine rebounds in Tuesday’s victory.
The Lady Winds move to 4-1 overall in the season and will play in the Littlefield Tournament on Thursday.
