FLOYDADA, TX – Helping students find pathways to their future was a common theme at an event hosted Wednesday at Floydada Collegiate High School.
In celebration of National Apprenticeship Week, community leaders heard from teachers, students, and FCISD personnel regarding the P-TECH program and the desire to increase student apprenticeship opportunities.
One effort that is directly helping both students and the district is the Grow Your Own program, which allows students interested in becoming teachers a pathway to do so right at home.
Businesses in the district that are interested in working with students through an apprenticeship or internship should contact Shauna Lane, Dean of Academic Affairs at FCISD.
