FLOYDADA, TX – The Floydada Whirlwinds hosted the Olton Mustangs for their final regular-season game on Friday.
Olton started the game with a 13-7 lead after the first quarter.
The Whirlwinds would kick a field goal in the second quarter to go into halftime trailing 13-10.
Floydada continued their momentum into the second half and would take a 24-21 lead after the third quarter.
The Mustangs tried to make a late comeback in the fourth quarter, but the Whirlwinds would fight them off and secure the victory, 31-27.
The Whirlwinds finish their season 6-4 overall and 2-3 in district.
