AMARILLO, TX – The Lockney Longhorn band competed at the 2023 UIL Area Competition at Dick Bivins Stadium in Amarillo on Saturday.
The Longhorn band competed against 25 other schools, with only three schools advancing to the state competition.
After completing their final round, the Longhorn band was selected for third place overall and punched their tickets to the state competition in San Antonio.
This is the first time in the history of the Longhorn Band that they have been selected for state.
Lockney will be performing at 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday, October 31.
