Longhorns Remain Unbeaten in District with Win Over Ralls

LOCKNEY, TX – The Lockney Longhorns hosted the Ralls Jackrabbits in a district battle on Friday.

Ralls started the game in the lead, as they scored first and led 6-0.

Lockney would respond in the second quarter with three touchdowns and take the lead going into halftime at 21-14.

The Longhorns extended their lead in the third quarter by scoring two more touchdowns, going up 35-14.

Ralls would strike back in the fourth quarter and try to make a comeback; however, the Longhorns were able to stop the momentum and secure the victory, 35-22.

Lockney’s quarterback, Dyllan Thiebaud, recorded 211 total yards on offense and three total touchdowns.

Longhorn running back Xavier Jimenez rushed for 149 yards and one touchdown.

The Longhorns moved to 6-1 overall and 3-0 in district, securing a playoff spot for the first time since 2017.

Lockney will travel to Hale Center next week, and they will finish the district schedule at home against Bovina on November 3rd.
