LOCKNEY, TX – The Lockney Longhorns faced the Crosbyton Chiefs on Friday in their first district game.
The Longhorns were able to get the first points on the board with a Xavier Jimenez touchdown run, making it 7-0 after the first quarter.
Lockney would continue their momentum in the second quarter, scoring three touchdowns and extending their lead to 28-0 at halftime.
The Longhorns would keep the pressure on Crosbyton as they scored 21 more points in the second half to secure their first district win with a score of 49-16.
Xavier Jimenez had 205 total yards of offense with two touchdowns.
Dyllan Thiebaud had 107 total yards of offense and a touchdown.
The Longhorns moved to 4-1 on the season and 1-0 in district play.
