FLOYDADA, TX – The Floydada Friends of the Library (FOL) met on September 21 in the Library Conference room and elected a new slate of officers.
Barbara Edwards will serve as president, Elaine McNeill-Vice president, Judy Thayer-Secretary, Laveta Morren-treasurer, and Brenda Jones & Judy Schacht will share media duties.

Librarian, Ren Ortiz discussed the needs of the library, grants he’s applied for, and funding issues.
We donated to help with the children’s division which he is trying to build up, as well as purchasing Bluebonnet books and large print copies of books. We gratefully acknowledge memorials from the Jarboe estate, Judy Lloyd, Stanley & Lou Burleson, and Bill & Roberta Hardin. If you’d like to make a contribution or memorial, please ensure it goes to The Friends of the Library directly.
Our next FOL meeting will be November 16 if you’re interested in joining us.
