
STINNETT, TX – The Lockney Longhorns traveled to battle the West Texas Comanches in their final game before district.
In the first quarter, the Longhorns would take a 14-7 lead thanks to touchdown runs from Xavier Jimenez and Daniel Alvarado.
In the second quarter, Longhorn quarterback Dyllan Thiebaud finds Daniel Alvarado in the endzone for a touchdown to extend the lead to 21-13.
The Comanches would fight back in the third quarter, but it was Lockney’s Alvarado who would seal the game in the fourth quarter with an 8-yard touchdown run.
Lockney gets the win over West Texas, 36-21.
Xavier Jimenez finished the night with 245 rushing yards and three touchdowns.
Daniel Alverado had 84 total yards and two touchdowns.
The Longhorns move to 3-1 and will have a bye next week as they prepare for their first district game against Crosbyton.
