ABILENE, TX – The Lockney Longhorns made the trip to Abilene on Friday to play the Abilene TLCA Eagles.
The Longhorns were able to set the tone of the game early, as they scored 27 in the first quarter to take a 27-0 lead.
Lockney’s defense shut out the Eagles in the first half while their offense continued to apply pressure, and the Longhorns would extend their lead at halftime (41-0).
The Eagles managed to get on the scoreboard in the second half, but the damage was already done, and the Longhorns would secure the victory 55-16.
Lockney had 504 total yards of offense, with Xavier Jimenez contributing 191 yards and three touchdowns, and Dyllan Thiebaud had 162 yards and three total touchdowns.
