Feliciano Mondragon (Lockney)
Feliciano Mondragon, age 92, of Lockney, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2023. Mass of Catholic Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 16, 2023, at San Jose de Calasanz Catholic Church in Lockney. Interment will follow at the Lockney Cemetery.
Feliciano was born June 9, 1931, in Bejucos, Mexico to Tiofilo Mondragon and Rufina Vences. He had many hobbies and interests. Feliciano was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Diablos de Toluca soccer team. He also enjoyed bingo lottery scratch-off tickets, tinkering as a mechanic, and gardening. He was a good friend to everyone who knew him. Feliciano was also a longtime, active member of the San Jose de Calasanz Catholic Church in Lockney and was always first to offer his help at church events. He served as a member of Sagrado Corazon, as a church usher, and as a Eucharistic minister. Feliciano was a very hard worker and was always serving others, like visiting with sick folks. But probably, Feliciano’s greatest joy came from spending time with his family, as they were his greatest achievement and love.
Feliciano was preceded in death by his parents; nine of his brothers; three of his sisters; one niece; and a great-granddaughter.
Those left to cherish Feliciano’s memory are his wife, Blanca Mondragon of Lockney; his six sons, Ignacio Mondragon, Sr. of Lockney, Humberto Mondragon of Veracruz, Mexico, Serafin Mondragon of Plainview, Feliciano Mondragon, Jr. of Monterrey, Mexico, Orlando (Dora) Mondragon of El Paso, Texas, and Michael Mondragon of Amarillo, Texas; one daughter, Lilia (Carlos) Castillo of Lubbock; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
