
Peggy Sue Fuller (Floydada)
Peggy Sue Fuller, age 78, passed away Friday, September 1, 2023, at her home in Floydada after a brief battle with cancer. Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at the Floyd County Memorial Park in Floydada, with Steve Weaver officiating.
Sue was born on October 29, 1944, to Laverne and Roy Landers in Sweetwater, Texas. On October 26, 1979, she married Gary Don Fuller, the man she describes as the love of her life and her best friend. Together, they ran Fuller Trucking for ten years. In 1992, she began working at the Floydada branch of the Lockney National Bank, which later became City Bank. She retired in May of 2006 to spend more time with her family. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church, which later became Bethany Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather Woody Fritsch, her sister Joy Bishop, her in-laws Wayne and Betty Fuller, and her sister-in-law Sharon Quisenberry.
Survivors include her husband, Gary; children Teresa Weaver Evans (Joe) of Mansfield; Scott Weaver of Owasso, Oklahoma; Steve Weaver (Elaine) of Midland; Amy Malloy (Marc) of Granbury; and Angie Howard (Bart) of Lubbock; grandchildren Blake (Lizzie) Weaver; Bekah (Joseph) Fellman; Bayle (Chase) Kizer; Haley Malloy; Emily Evans; Ethan Howard; Kaity Malloy; and Brandon Howard; four great-grandchildren and a new one arriving in early 2024; her sister, Jan Bartlett (Gene) of Sweetwater, Texas; her brother, David Fritsch (Lanita) of Coleman; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Lubbock, the American Cancer Society, and the American Heart Association.
