Longhorns play against Seagraves under the lights for first game of 2023 Season.
SEAGRAVES, TX – The Lockney Longhorns began their 2023 football season traveling to play against the Seagraves Eagles.
Lockney started the game by scoring two touchdowns in the first quarter to go up 14-0.
The Eagles struck back in the second quarter to cut the Lockney lead to 14-7.
In the second half, the Longhorns were able to find the end zone three more times to secure the victory, 34-14.
The Longhorns had 304 total yards of offense, with QB Dyllan Thiebaud going 5 for 9 in the air with 49 yards, rushing for 91 yards, and finding the end zone twice, while RB Xavier Jimenez rushed for 119 yards and scored three times.
The Longhorns will face the Floydada Whirlwinds in Lockney this Friday in the battle for the Floyd County Championships.
