A fifth-generation Texas panhandle cowboy, Jackson Taylor, had been living the ranch life since he was 15. An experienced ranch hand, he worked on some of the largest operating ranches in Texas, New Mexico, and Montana. Daring by nature, Jackson’s wild personality wasn’t just talking; he walked the walk. In his younger years, he rode broncs and has been training horses year-round.
Jackson was a contestant on the INSP network’s “Ultimate Cowboy Showdown,” and last Saturday, the Lockney native passed away due to injuries sustained in a bronc riding accident at a ranch rodeo.
“Today, we mourn the tragic loss of our good friend Jackson Taylor—a true cowboy and fine horseman. We tip our hat to you, Jackson; may you rest in peace. Our deepest condolences go out to his friends, family, and the cowboy community as you grieve his loss and remember his life,” INSP wrote on their website.
Even celebrities like Trace Adkins have weighed in on Twitter “Jackson Taylor was a helluva cowboy. There was no ‘back down’ in him, and I’m proud to have known him. Rest in peace, hoss”.
