FLOYDADA, TX – A new youth sports league comes to Floyd County with the introduction of the Floydada Flag Football League.

The Flag Football League is a COED league for ages PreK–6th grade.

President Jason Nutt describes the league as a fun yet competitive league that is held locally to help kids learn the fundamentals of football earlier.

These fundamentals include running routes, playing defense, catching, and throwing.

The league sees this as an opportunity for the participants to learn team skills, as it will provide an approachable atmosphere to the game without the contact of tackle football.

Registration for the Floydada Flag Football League, which will cost $50, is now open and will run through the first of August.

If you have any questions, please reach out to any of the board members, contact the league through their Facebook page, or email them at floydadaflagfootball@gmail.com.
