FLOYDADA, TX – Even history can use a fresh coat of paint every now and then.

Work is underway at the Floyd County Historical Museum to not alter but freshen up the exterior of the building on the Courthouse Square.

In addition to exhibits and extensive genealogical records for Floyd County, visitors can see artifacts from the 1540 Coronado Expedition, discovered at the Jimmy Owens Site in Blanco Canyon twenty years ago.
