SLATON, TX- The Lockney Little League was represented in the District 38 Little League All Star tournaments with their major and minor teams.
The Lockney Minor All Star team started their tournament in Slaton against Post on Friday, and Lockney would earn the win.
Lockney would win their next game against Tahoka, sending them to the third round.
New Home would be their next opponent, and for the first time in the tournament, Lockney was defeated and sent to the lower bracket.
Lockney would battle back and defeat Abernathy to make the championship game a rematch against New Home.
In the championship game, Lockney battled hard but ultimately fell to New Home and would finish the tournament in second place.
The Lockney Major All Star team faced O’Donnell in their first game on Saturday in Tahoka and fell just short, putting them in the lower bracket.
In their second game, the Major team was defeated by Roosevelt, eliminating them from the tournament.
Congratulations to these teams as well as the other teams in the Lockney Little League, as they are finished with their 2023 season!
