2023 Floydada Little League All Stars Tournaments in Action

LUBBOCK COUNTY, TX – The Floydada Little League Association has been represented across West Texas this past week with the Little League All Stars tournaments taking place.

The Coach Pitch All Stars defeated Slaton in their first game and will play their next game on Wednesday in Idalou.

The Floydada Minor Baseball Team (8–10 year olds) lost their first game to Idalou and were defeated by Abernathy in their second game to eliminate them from the tournament.

In the Majors division (10–12 year olds), Floydada lost to Post in their first game. In the loser’s bracket, Floydada was able to defeat Slaton but was eliminated by Idalou.

The Juniors team beat Tahoka and Post in their first two games; however, they were sent to the lower half of the bracket after their loss to Idalou. Floydada will play on Thursday in Post, with the winner playing Idalou in the championship game on Friday.

The Coach Pitch Softball All Stars defeated Tahoka in their first tournament game and will play Abernathy in their next game.

The Minor Softball All Stars (The Twisters) beat Idalou in the first game but were sent to the lower bracket after an 8-9 loss to Abernathy. Having to battle back, The Twisters beat Slaton 5-3 and Abernathy 26-4 to head to the championship game against Tahoka on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. in Slaton.
