PUEBLO, CO – Former Floydada Whirlwind Luke Holcombe, now competing for West Texas A&M University, participated in the shot put event in the 2023 NCAA DII Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
As one of only three sophomores competing in the championship, Holcombe had his best throw on his final attempt in the first round, a toss of 16.44.
The former 2A State Champion (2021) placed 18th overall in the championship and looks forward to next season as he enters his junior year.
