Toni Leynett Robertson (Lubbock)
Toni Leynett (Marlar) Robertson passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023. A service to celebrate her 60 years of life will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Lake Ridge Chapel in Lubbock, Texas.
Toni was born on June 2, 1962, in Slaton, Texas, to Bobby and Beth Marlar of Lorenzo, Texas. She grew up as the big sister to Pam and Robbie and graduated from Lorenzo High School in 1980.
Her passion in life was family. She raised three sons: Jeremy, Nathan, and Kaleb. While raising her family in Lorenzo, Toni co-owned and operated a restaurant (Our Place) with her parents and the Floydada Bakery with her mother and younger sister. After moving to Lubbock, Toni worked for Morgan Stanley, started Wall Street Brokerage with her longtime friend Larry Goldston, and, most recently, at Clayton Mobile Homes.
Her favorite pastimes were spending time with children, grandchildren, and friends. She joined the West Texas Porsche Club in 2005. She served as President for two years, overseeing the flow of autocross business and planning trips to Moab, Utah, Durango, Colorado, and Fredericksburg, Texas. She also cherished the time on the “Sister Trips” she shared with Pam and Robbie.
Toni is preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her sons: Jeremy Keith Robertson of Lubbock; Nathan (and Cecilia) Robertson of Lubbock; Kaleb (and Courtney) Robertson of Lubbock; and four grandchildren: Avery Robertson, Colton Robertson, Weston Robertson, and Denver Robertson all of Lubbock. She is also survived by her sisters, Pam Ricketts (Floydada) and Robbie Pond (Wichita Falls), a niece, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
