HALE CENTER, TX – The Floydada Whirlwinds traveled to Hale Center to play the Owls in a district game on Tuesday.
The first run of the game would be scored in the bottom of the second, as the Owls took a 1-0 lead.
Hale Center was able to extend their lead as they scored three in the third inning, four in the fourth, and one in the fifth to go up 9-0.
The Whirlwinds looked to rally back in the top of the sixth, as they were able to score two runs to cut the lead down to 9-2.
Floydada had one last opportunity in the top of the seventh inning, but they fell just short and were defeated 9-6.
