FLOYD COUNTY, TX – Another week is marked by another donation to the Mangold Foundation and its quest to purchase and install a new CT scanning machine in the county.
Thanks to a massive $100,000 gift from Floyd County, W.J. Mangold is close to paying for the new equipment when the hospital turns the state-of-the-art machine on this week.
On Monday, W.J. Mangold Memorial Hospital CEO Vince DiFranco accepted the check from County Judge Marty Lucke and said they “really appreciate your and the county’s support.”
With upgraded technology, medical providers can get more than 100 layers deep with a scan. In contrast, the older machine only allowed for a handful of layers and will be a game-changer for the rural hospital.
