FLOYDADA, TX – The Lady Winds (13-4, 2-0) hosted the Hale Center Lady Owls (0-2) on Friday afternoon in a district game.
The Lady Owls struck in the top of the first inning, giving them a 2-0 lead.
That lead was quickly taken back as the Lady Winds scored four in the bottom half of the first inning.
Floydada scored a run in the second and would put up nine runs in the third to take a 14-2 lead.
The Lady Winds’ defense would hold the Lady Owls scoreless the rest of the game and defeat Hale Center 14-2.
Floydada improves to 2-0 in district play.
