Hinson and Pena Receive Diplomas During WTAMU Graduation

CANYON, TX – Two Floyd County students walked the stage along with 960 other graduates at West Texas A&M University (WTAMU).

Kalissia Leigh Hinson received her Masters in Teaching, while Brittany Ivette Pena received her Bachelor of Health Sciences degree. Both are from Floydada.

The Class of December 2022 was awarded 655 baccalaureate degrees, 290 master’s degrees, and 15 doctoral degrees at the December 10th commencement ceremonies, following procedural confirmation from the University’s seven deans.

The oldest graduate was 69, the youngest was 19, and 48 percent of the undergraduates were the first in their families to earn a college degree.
