RALLS, TX – The Ralls Jackrabbits (3-14, 1-2) hosted the Lockney Longhorns (9-8, 1-2) on Friday night for a district matchup.
The Longhorns had an early run in the first quarter that would help set the tone for the game, as they led 20-10 after the first quarter.
The Longhorn defense would hold the Jackrabbits to only 20 points in the first half and maintain their lead as they would go into the fourth quarter up 54-39.
In the fourth quarter, the Jackrabbits tried to make a comeback, as they had a 24-point quarter.
Lockney was able to defend the push and come out with their first district win with a final score of 70–63.
Lockney’s senior Jonathan Cienfuegos had a game-high 24 points and 6 rebounds in the win on Friday night.
