LOCKNEY, TX – The Lockney Longhorns (8-7, 0-1) hosted the Floydada Whirlwinds (19-4, 1-0) in district play on Tuesday night.
The Whirlwinds were able to jump out to an early lead in the first quarter and would take control 25-18.
The Winds continued the pressure and produced a 37-point second quarter to go into halftime with a 62-38 lead.
The Longhorns tried to fight their way back in the second half, but ultimately fell to the fifth-ranked Whirlwinds, 118-68.
The Floydada JV won their game against the Lockney JV 60-34.
