FLOYDADA, TX – After 17 years, Patty Davenport is making new plans.
For the past 16 years, the Floyd County resident has served as District Clerk for the county. Last week, however, she officially retired.
“I started as Judge Hollums court coordinator in 2005 and was appointed as District Clerk in 2006 when Barbara Edwards retired,” she explains. “It has been an honor and privilege to serve the citizens of Floyd County.”
Davenport and her husband, Winfield, have raised two daughters in their time in Floydada: Bailey and Jianna.
