FLOYDADA – Texas State Representative Dustin Burrows, whose district now includes Floyd County, will be back at the Floyd County Courthouse Monday morning for a town hall meeting.

Burrows will speak at 8:30 a.m. during a recess of the Floyd County Commissioners Court. The meeting is one of five town halls the Representative is holding in his new district area before the start of the 88th Texas Legislature on January 10. “It’s a way for him to hear from his constituents before heading to Austin,” says Burrows’ district director Matt Crow.

Following brief remarks, Rep. Burrows will entertain questions from Floyd County residents. Crow says all are welcomed to bring their questions or can email the Representative’s office through their house website at House.Texas.Gov.

Burrows was elected outright in November, having no opposition in the general election. The Lubbock native was first elected to House District 83 in 2016. The district was redrawn for the 2022 election, adding Floyd, Crosby, Dickens, Garza and Kent Counties, taking over the area from House District 68.
