Senior Night For Longhorns Ends In Loss To Hale Center

LOCKNEY,TX – The Lockney Longhorns battled the Hale Center Owls but struggled to produce points as they ended senior night with a 40-13 loss. 

Hale Center had a big night offensively as they were able to produce 429 total yards and 153 of those came from quarterback Aidan Baldridge. 

The Owls’ Kristian Ford ran for 161 yards and 2 touchdowns, while Jihad Allen carried for 91 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Baldridge attempted 22 passes and completed 14, with 2 of those being touchdowns. 

Lockney’s Dyllan Thiebaud was 9-24 with 172 yards in the air and would give the Longhorns their two touchdowns of the night, one of those going to Jonathan Cienfuegos and the other to Andrew Bustillos.

Xavier Jimenez was able to contribute 71 yards on the ground to the teams’ total offense of 253 yards.

The Longhorns will look ahead to next week’s must-win game against Bovina as they try to get into the postseason.
