Floydada Native Takes Home “Song of the Year” at CMA Texas Awards

LUBBOCK, TX – A song about showing cattle took the Song of the Year honors Tuesday night at the CMA Texas Awards Show.

The annual event hosted by the CMA of Texas recognized Floyd County’s Jason Nutt, who wrote “Purple Banners” to honor the families that travel the stock show circuit.

CMA of Texas is an organization that recognizes Texas independent musicians and other industry aspects impacting Texas country music.
