LUBBOCK, TX – Both Floyd County marching bands perform this morning in the annual Westerner Marching Festival at Lowrey Field at PlainsCapital Park.
The event is a practice contest for the following weekend’s official UIL contest on October 15, 2022 – also in Lubbock.
Floydada will perform at 11:15 am, while Lockney marches at 12:15 pm.
Tickets are $5 per person.
7:45 AM – 10:30 AM: Block 1 – Petersburg, Denver City, Ropes, Lubbock-Cooper, Estacado, Whiteface, Clarendon, Crosbyton, Sudan, Shallowater, New Deal
11:00 AM – 12:30 PM: Block 2 – Tahoka, Floydada, Roosevelt, Ralls, Monterey, Lockney
1:15 PM – 3:45 PM: Block 3 – Brownfield, O’Donnell, Olton, Muleshoe, Forsan, Hale Center, Bovina, Sundown, Levelland, Littlefield
4:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Block 4 – Slaton, Plains, Post, Smyer, Abernathy, Lamesa, West Plains, Seagraves, Farwell, Seminole, Morton, Idalou, Lubbock High
