FLOYD COUNTY, TX – Skies turned overcast on Wednesday as the region picked up some much-needed moisture.
According to the National Weather Service, Floydada received .42″ of rainfall, while the real winner was Aiken with 1.03″.
Abernathy (.71) and Plainview (.54) dumped more than half an inch from the rain gauge, while lesser amounts were recorded in Silverton (.11), Ralls (.07), and Turkey (.06).
The entire region remains in a drought (according to the National Drought Monitor).
