MUNCY, TX – Following beneficial rainfall over the past ten days, livestock producers are reminded of the consequences of allowing cattle to graze forage with high levels of prussic acid.

The warning comes from an Oklahoma State Livestock Extension Veterinarian, Dr. Rosslyn Biggs, who will speak at the upcoming 3rd Annual Caprock Beef Cattle Conference at the Floyd County Friends Unity Center on September 15, 2022.

Hosted by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Hale and Floyd Counties, attendees will also hear about early weaning decisions, low-cost feed solutions, carbon credits, and a hands-on ultrasound demonstration featuring Silverton (TX) native Dr. Tommy Perkins.
