Floydada VFD Responds to Two Calls During June

FLOYDADA, TX – Despite very dry conditions across the county, the Floydada Fire Department only had two fire runs during June.

Volunteer firefighters were called out on June 11 (5:50 pm) to 223 E. Marivena for a structure fire that caused minor damage. The fire was caused by a clothes dryer which ignited an exterior wall of the home.

A vehicle fire was reported on June 21 (6:52 pm) at the rest stop park in Blanco Canyon on U.S. 62, and firefighters responded.
