April calmer month for Floydada Volunteer Fire Department
After a couple of turbulent months battling house and grass fires, the Floydada Volunteer Fire Department had a relatively calmer month during April, responding to a number of smaller grass fires and serving mutual aid to neighboring communities.

Lockney now under Stage 3 water restrictions
Mandatory stage 3 restrictions went into effect on May 1, and mean that Lockney residents can only water their homes 2 days a week, and that depends on their address number.
