ABERNATHY – The Floydada Whirlwinds and Post Bold Gold Antelopes will hold a baseball playoff play-in for the Number 4 seed from District 3-2A on Monday in Abernathy.
The Whirlwinds (8-12, 5-7) and Antelopes (6-14-1, 5-7) split their two meetings in district with identical scores of 10-9. Floydada won at Watson Field on Tuesday, April 12 while Post came out on top at Norm Cash Field on Friday, April 15.
Post swept the Olton Mustangs this past week by scores of 15-5 and 12-2 to move into a fourth place tie with the Whirlwinds.
The winner of the Floydada – Post seeding game will go against the New Home Leopards (22-2) later in the week in a Bi-District series or single game. New Home won the 4-2A championship with a 12-0 record.
106.1 FLiP FM will have the broadcast of the play-in game. First pitch will be at 5:00 p.m.
