FLOYDADA – Marc Puente is returning to Floyd County.

The former Lockney coach and Hale Center native who went on to win a statewide coaching award in Falls City is returning to the hardwood after spending the past few years in administration at a Plainview ISD elementary school.

Puente graduated from Hale Center in 2005. He went on to coach at his Alma Mater and for the Longhorns before heading to Falls City in the San Antonio area in 2015. He won the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches Don Coleman Coach of the Year award for Class 2A in 2016 while leading the Beavers.
