FLOYDADA – Floydada seniors Erin Trevino and Clari Delafuente were a potent 1-2 punch in the circle by striking out nine Sudan Nettes in a 15-0 win a Lady Winds Field on Tuesday. The Floydada duo did not allow any base runners – no hits and no walks – for the unique perfect game.

Trevino retired the six Sudan batters she faced in the first and second inning, while Delafuente came to pitch the remaining three strikeouts. Trevino now has 164-K’s on the season.

Floydada (23-2-1, 9-0) got started with an 11-run bottom of the first inning with six hits and received four walks. Analise Perez hit an inside the park homerun and a double that provided three RBI in the first frame. Carissa Fernandez had a double for two RBI, and Dani Zavala hustled out a triple that drove in a run.

Four Lady Winds had two hits each – Delafuente, Marissa Obregon, Fernandez and Perez. Delafuente and Obregon each scored three times.

The Lady Winds extended their winning streak to 12 in a row. They will play the Nettes in Game 2 on Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. in Sudan. KFLP 900 AM will have the broadcast.
